Thanks for visiting! Here in Whitehall we are fortunate to live in great communities that offer a true quality of life to its residents. However, if a community is to continue to thrive it must keep up with the times and the evolving needs of its residents.
If I am fortunate to serve the community, some of my immediate focuses will be:
1. Complete Audit: To find and fix the existing inconsistencies that I have been told by several people with internal knowledge currently exist.

2. Senior Citizen Issues: Inform our Seniors of the Tax rebates currently available & look for new ways to assist them with their tax burdens.
3.Work with people experiencing financial hardship: Put in place an alternative payment plan to help them meet their financial obligation to the township. Celeste understands firsthand that good, hardworking people face financial challenges from time to time. In these economic times, financial hardships are bound to increase and it is in the best interest of the community to have a Treasurer who understands this and is willing to work with people to keep the revenue coming into the township.
4. Review all our current processes: Determine how they can be updated to best suit the community overall and best meet the challenges we face in the current economic climate.
With our economy in a recession & unemployment in the valley expected to reach double digits by 2010, the Treasurer’s Office needs forward-thinking leadership. Leadership that understands best practices, and is prepared to make necessary changes in how we collect taxes and other Township bills, in order to maintain a positive stream of revenue to keep Whitehall neighborhoods strong and our municipality solvent.
When the economic climate changes, we must also look to change the way we operate. Continuing to operate in the same way when the variables change, is a recipe for
unnecessary economic & social challenges in our Township.
